Announcement: Still no group training allowed
The Athletics section of Jeppe is managed by its committee, which is separate from the main club committee. The role of the committee is to ensure the development, maintenance and smooth running of the Athletics section of the club.
This committee is structured as follows:
Represents, promotes and protects the section’s position and interests within the main club, CGA and other affiliations, ensures the constitution of the club and section is adhered to by all, overesees the appointment of an effective committee to manage the section’s best interests, and arranges regular committee meetings and ensure minutes are kept.
Provides financial governance and regular reporting on the section’s financial position.
Manages and co-ordinates all of the section’s communications, performs the section’s central administration, including membership administration, collection of membership fees and the provision of minutes. Organises and manages the sponsored athletes and PDI’s inconjunction with the Captains. Handles ordering, selling and stock of club kit. Also manages booking and arranging of social events with support from the Committee.
Jeppe Marathon Race Director
Assumes overall responsibility for the Jeppe Marathon.
Draws up all the training programmes for all the various running schools and interacts with the schools on a regular basis.
School Captains & Vice Captains
The school captain organises, regulates and controls all of the school’s running activities and training, liaises with the Coach to ensure the training program is in keeping with the goals of the section.
Backup and assists the captain with the smooth running of the school.
Assists with specific running / walking / triathlon and club related statistics which are required by the Committee.
Main function is to keep the web sites up to date, changing of information on a regular basis, updating articles, training programs, photos and general upkeep of the website.
Charity Events Custodian
Organises and arranges all Charity related events, ie Golf Day & Charity Hat Walk with the assistance of the Secretary.
Social Media Manager
Main function is to keep the social media pages up to date, changing of information on a regular basis, updating articles, training programs, photos and general upkeep of the social media presence.
